Course Flow
The MBSR course is designed to help people develop strategies to manage stress and anxiety associated with modern living, and to promote general well-being.
Each course involves meeting weekly for 2.5 hours over 8 weeks, as well as an All-Day Retreat. As such, the course includes 9 sessions in total.
Before being accepted on the course, each person needs to: 1. Submit the Application form 2. Attend the Orientation Session 3. Have a Personal Interview
The Orientation session gives a introduction to the MBSR course and mindfulness more broadly, and the opportunity to meet the facilitators.
If you are not able to make the Orientation, please contact the facilitator to discuss other options.
The personal interview is an opportunity to discuss whether the course is right for you and is usually over Zoom.

Fee and Registration
Full course fee: CHF 650.-
Includes the 8 sessions of the program, the day of the retreat, the evaluation interview, all adios and documents online.
Reduced rate of CHF 540.- upon request (AI, unemployment, students, etc.). Please note that some health insurance companies reimburse part of the cost of participation in an MBSR program.

Bianca King is a qualified and experienced Psychological Counsellor and meditation Teacher. She first came across meditation in 1991, and since 1997, she has been practicing meditation daily to ground her own inner resources for well-being. She has a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Wales. Her qualifications include Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for Cancer from Bangor University and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher from the University of Massachusetts Medical School."
Stephen Wainwright Meditation teacher, Humanitarian work
Stephen Wainwright has been practising meditation since the early 1990s and has extensive experience of guiding meditation courses and retreats in religious and secular settings. He became a qualified MBSR instructor at the University of Massachusetts in 2018. He has provided mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) courses and drop-in sessions for over ten years, including for humanitarian organisations.
He is interested in the application of contemplative approaches to help address the consequences of violence, discrimination and exclusion for those directly affected and those who support them, and has worked with the Garrison Institute and Breathe International in this area. Stephen has over 30 years' experience working in the humanitarian and development fields.
