The MBSR course is designed to help people develop strategies to manage stress and anxiety associated with modern living, and to promote general well-being.
2024 February - March MBSR Ahmad Reza Hosseinpoor, MD, PhD, MBSR teacher in training Ahmad is a medical doctor and an epidemiologist. He attended an MBSR course in 2013 and since then, he has regularly participated in meditation courses, retreats and drop-in sessions, and has continued his own mindfulness practice. He started a part-time Master’s Program in Mindfulness at Bangor University in 2019 with the orientation to teach mindfulness. He would like to spread his knowledge and expertise on mindfulness.
Bianca King, MA, MBSR teacher Bianca King is a qualified and experienced Psychological Counsellor and meditation Teacher. She first came across meditation in 1991, and since 1997, she has been practicing meditation daily to ground her own inner resources for well-being. She has a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Wales. Her qualifications include Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for Cancer from Bangor University and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher from the University of Massachusetts Medical School."
Each course involves meeting weekly for 2.5 hours over 8 weeks, as well as an All-Day Retreat. As such, the course includes 9 sessions in total.
Each person needs to submit an Application form attend the Orientation Session and a Personal Interview before being accepted on the course.
The Orientation session gives a good introduction to mindfulness and the MBSR course.
Please note that the course facilitator will be video recorded and the group discussion audios will be recorded (not videoed) for supervision and training purposes.

Date of the one day retreat: Sunday 10th March 25, 2024, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Online orientation session: Tuesday January 16th 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
Public: open to all, with or without previous meditation practice.
Fee: CHF 640.- (includes the 8 sessions of the program, the day of the retreat, the evaluation interview, all adios and documents online. Reduced rate of CHF 520.- upon request (AI, unemployment, students, etc.). Please note that some health insurance companies reimburse part of the cost of participation in an MBSR program.
